This week, I gave a talk at the 2022 Charlotte Mason Inspired Summit about using living books for all subjects. I spoke about the advantages of living books over textbooks and the importance of engaging our children emotionally in the learning process.

Where to find living books?
- Lots of Charlotte Mason homeschool websites, such as Charlotte Mason Plenary
- Homeschool catalogs, such as Rainbow Resource
- Homeschool publishers, such as Living Book Press
- Books that compile book lists, such as Let the Authors Speak: A Guide to Worthy Books Based on Historical Setting by Carolyn Hatcher
- Homeschool curricula, such as Activity Guides for Story of the World
- Search Amazon.com for a book your family enjoyed and scroll down to see the Explore Similar Books section
- Talk to other homeschoolers and ask them for advice based on your kids’ interests and the books your family has enjoyed in the past
- Homeschool Facebook groups – feel free to ask for book recommendations in our group!
- Many great living books are out of print, but you might be able to find them in your library
History
