Charlotte Mason’s educational philosophy is broad and holistic. While many homeschoolers associate this homeschooling style with specific activities, like narration, nature study, and handiwork, there is a lot more to this approach than the sum of its parts.
Today, in honor of our Charlotte Mason Homeschooling Summit next week, I’d like to bring you a potpourri of Charlotte Mason big picture wisdom from some of the summit’s speakers.
- In this blog post, Rachel Lebowitz explains why the big picture, and specifically, Charlotte Mason’s 20 principles, are important.
- In this blog post, Marjorie Lang goes through Charlotte Mason terminology and explains the foundational concepts.
- In this video (scroll down the page to view it), Amy Bodkin explains how to use the developmental approach to Charlotte Mason homeschooling with children with special needs.
For more on both theory and practice of the Charlotte Mason homeschooling method, register for our Charlotte Mason Homeschooling Summit, scheduled to take place April 18th – 20th, 2021.
Not sure if the summit is for you? No problem! Sign up for our Free Year-Round Homeschool Convention and enjoy a selection of homeschool wisdom from previous events.
